19 source records. Standards, editions and conditions are presented separately; matching grade names do not establish interchangeability.
Refer to each source for mass fractions and analysis type. Missing values are not treated as 0. Manufacturer typical values, standard guarantees and measured heat results must remain separate. Use the material selector for calculations and condition selection.

Composition conditions
- ISO 4954:2018, Table D.2 gives heat analysis; A single value is a maximum; a dash is not zero.
- Product-analysis tolerances are listed separately under Table 2/3 of the standard and do not directly widen the heat-analysis composition ranges.
- Unlisted elements must not be intentionally added without purchaser consent, except for additions needed to finish the heat.

Applicability and limitations
Official English original text of DIN EN10270-3:2001-08; Table 1 heat analysis, mass fractions wt%. ; The scope is for commonly cold-drawn round cross-section stainless spring steel wire with a diameter ≤10mm; 10–15mm shall follow mechanical requirements agreed by both parties; this does not automatically confirm the supply of cold-heading products. ; Product analysis tolerances in Clause 5.4.2 shall be governed separately by EN10088-3 and shall not directly expand the default heat analysis composition. ; Table 1 Note a allows other compositions to be agreed upon by both parties; Do not enter an agreed composition where no contractual agreement exists.. ; Note c allows the use of 1.4436 as a substitute for 1.4401 to improve corrosion resistance, but since the independent chemical composition of 1.4436 is not listed in this table, it shall not be duplicated as the same composition based on this. ; The Ni increase condition in Table 1 Note d is selected separately; blank Mo/N etc. shall not be filled as zero.

- DIN EN10270-3:2001-08 adopts EN10270-3:2001; it is retained separately from the 2011/2012 editions.
- The scope is cold-drawn stainless spring wire of round cross-section only. Select the nominal wire-diameter band and calculate tensile strength using actual diameter; units are MPa = N/mm².
- For 1.4310, NS and HS are separate ordered strength conditions and must not be mixed by default. NS/HS labels are not applied to 1.4401/1.4568.
- Table 2 note b: upper limit = the band's minimum tensile strength ×1.15; range within a production batch of the same heat ≤ that minimum tensile strength ×0.09. These requirements and the Table 3 packaging-unit range must be met separately; they do not replace one another.
- Clause 5.5.2/Table 3 concerns the range within one coil, spool, reel or bundle after straightening and cutting: 100MPa for d≤1.50mm and 70MPa for 1.50<d≤10.00mm.
- After straightening, tensile strength may fall by up to 10% (Table 2 note c). The listed data cover the cold-drawn state only; this clause has not been turned into another guaranteed interval.
- A lower tensile strength for improved formability requires explicit agreement by both parties (note d); the table's default limits are not automatically relaxed.
- Tensile strength of delivered cold-drawn wire is not the performance of a finished spring after heat treatment. Annex values for precipitation hardening of 1.4568 are not merged into default delivery strength (note e, 5.5.1 note 2).
- Diameters greater than 10mm and other unlisted diameters require agreement at inquiry and ordering; do not interpolate or extrapolate; Zero or negative wire diameters are invalid.
The Rm upper limit is calculated as the minimum in Table 2 Note b ×1.15; The range within a production batch is calculated as the minimum value ×0.09. Neither is an independent cell-by-cell upper limit in the original table.

Applicability and limitations
EN 10088-1:2005 Table 4 and continuation: ladle analysis (wt%); the official SIST adoption preview PDF, pages 11/12, covers all 50 grades and notes. Note a: unlisted elements are not intentionally added without purchaser consent, except as needed to complete steelmaking; a blank is not zero. Note b: for grades marked b only, S is selected separately for long products and by property requirement. Note d: the increased Ni maximum for special reasons applies only to listed grades, not all grades. Note c: Cu up to 1.0% for cold heading/extrusion; this condition path is provided here only for grades with blank Cu in the original table. Existing Cu alloy ranges retain their original values; the exception has not automatically rewritten them. The linked Ti≥5C/Nb≥10C and Ti≥8(C+N) conditions are retained; an unlisted N maximum is not zero. Note e: the source warns of skin-contact regulatory issues for high-sulfur free-machining steel; this is retained as a historical warning only and is not a claim of current compliance based on the 2005 text. Listed chemistry and the cold-heading Cu exception alone do not establish overall cold-heading performance or company supply; mechanical and product standards must be checked separately, and national adoption does not mean automatic equivalence.

Applicability and limitations
Give priority to the published technical page on the Creation Group website. Use local reference ranges only as supplementary composition cross-checks; the applicable standard for that product page, the technical agreement and actual verification take precedence.
