Yamashina (Japan) launches welding bolts that do not require heat treatment

In October 2023, Yamashina introduced welding bolts made from metal materials that do not require heat treatment, reducing heat treatment costs while improving quality. Due to the use of high-strength materials with poorer workability, advanced manufacturing technologies are required. Key features of this product include: 1) Use of high tensile strength materials 2) High-strength material with a tensile strength of approximately 800 MPa; no heat treatment hardening is required for the bolts 3) Achieves high-strength welding; the low carbon content ensures good weldability, enabling safe and high-strength joints. The typical application involves welding the bolt to a steel plate in an upright position.
