On 25 June 2026, at SteelHome’s invitation, Xie Changgen, General Manager of Shanghai Creation Group Co., Ltd., attended the Fifth National Industrial Bar and Wire Conference (Shanghai) and Fastener Industry Development Conference. His presentation addressed internal upgrading, outward growth and supply-chain cooperation for high-quality cold-heading wire.

From material competition to supply-chain cooperation
The presentation covered industry changes, quality challenges, steelmaking capabilities, technical services, low-carbon competition and future prospects. Creation Group sees competition moving beyond materials and price towards manufacturing capabilities, supply-chain cooperation and value creation.
Upgrading capabilities and extending services
Surface quality, microstructural uniformity, consistent properties and steel cleanliness are important foundations. Resolving application problems requires materials, processes, end use and upstream–downstream cooperation to be considered together.

With materials as its foundation, technology as its driver and value as its focus, Creation Group supports the development of material supply, process research and tailored solutions. Material performance and environmental capabilities should advance together; quality, resource efficiency and cost improvement require cooperation throughout the supply chain.

Building the future through long-term value
In his post-event reflections, Xie Changgen advocated competing on value rather than price, innovation rather than internal friction, and long-term competitiveness rather than short-term gain. Creation Group will continue working with partners towards more stable, efficient and lower-carbon cold-heading wire.
