To pool industry expertise and explore pathways to breakthroughs, the Automotive Branch of the China Surface Engineering Association successfully held the "Fastener Forward-Looking Technology and Strategy Salon" in Jiading, Shanghai, on November 08, 2025. The salon brought together fastener engineers from OEMs such as SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC Passenger Vehicle, SAIC General Motors, Li Auto, Xiaomi, NIO, XPeng, and Geely, along with industry experts, for a high-quality technical and strategic exchange.

Hosted by Li Dawei, Secretary-General of the Automotive Branch, the salon conducted in-depth discussions on the following core topics, addressing industry pain points and exploring countermeasures: Material Innovation: Green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly new materials, breakthroughs in material processing, and the application and development of new surface treatment materials became focal points of discussion, providing new ideas for the industry's green transition. Part and Application Innovation: Addressing the unique requirements of new energy vehicles, the salon shared innovative solutions such as special structures and integrated functional components, supporting vehicle lightweighting and high-performance development. Overseas Market Trend Analysis: Analysis of fastener market demand, competitive landscape, and development trends in major countries and regions worldwide. Pain Point Analysis and Response: Practical and constructive discussions were held on real-world challenges such as raw material price fluctuations, homogeneous competition, domestic substitution of key technologies, and green manufacturing.
