SWRCHB223

2 source records. Standards, editions and conditions are presented separately; matching grade names do not establish interchangeability.

Refer to each source for mass fractions and analysis type. Missing values are not treated as 0. Manufacturer typical values, standard guarantees and measured heat results must remain separate. Use the material selector for calculations and condition selection.

Applicability and limitations

The actual basis is the original Japanese version of JIS G3508-1:2005; This is not a verification conclusion based on the official original text of the 2010 edition. This record covers SWRCHB feedstock wire rod.; The delivery condition, mechanical properties, and applicable standards of SWCHB wire after processing must be confirmed separately; they shall not be automatically interchanged or used to create new supply commitments. B only specifies a lower limit ≥0.0008%, and the original table has no upper limit; general boron upper limits shall not be entered; Unlisted elements shall not be filled as 0. Note to Table 2 in the main text: Cr≤0.20%, impurities Cu≤0.30%, Ni≤0.20%; Default Si is 0.10–0.35%; specific requirements for Si below 0.10% shall be determined separately by agreement. B≥0.0005% is only an agreement option for Note 2 of Table 2 and cannot replace the default ≥0.0008%; Current composition conditions may be selected individually. 6.1: Average decarburization depth applies only when inspection is specified by the buyer: for d≤15mm, ferritic/total decarburization ≤0.02/0.15mm; for 15<d≤25mm, ≤0.03/0.20mm; for 25<d≤32mm, ≤0.04/0.25mm; for d>32mm, as agreed.. 6.2 Hardenability applies only when the test distance and upper/lower limits are specified by the buyer, according to Table 6-17 of this edition; Specific Jominy hardness bands have not yet been incorporated cell by cell; they shall not be treated as fixed delivery hardness, nor shall H-suffix grades be created. Default surface defect depth ≤ 0.10mm; Stricter surface quality and dimensional accuracy shall be subject to a separate agreement. Grain size and non-metallic inclusions shall be specified by the buyer, with limits agreed upon by both parties.

Applicability and limitations

One of the 12 official wire rod grades in Table 1, Clause 3 of the Japanese original version of JIS G 3508-1:2010; Table 2 is heat analysis mass fraction wt%. ; Table 2 of the main text defaults to B≥0.0008%, with no upper limit specified.; B≥0.0005% is applicable only by agreement between both parties and cannot replace the default value. ; Table 2 of the main text defaults to Si 0.10—0.35%; Si below 0.10% must be separately determined by agreement between both parties. ; Table 2 of the main text: for all steel grades, Cu≤0.30%, Ni≤0.20%, Cr≤0.20%; These three limits do not apply to informative Annex JB. ; Clause 6.1 decarburization and Clause 6.2 hardenability are both applicable when specified by the buyer; The hardness bands at each test distance in Tables 6—17 have not yet been structured; they must not be treated as fixed delivery hardness.. ; This record covers SWRCHB feedstock wire rod.; SWCHB wire shall be verified separately according to its product standard, condition, and contract.
