SCM822WCH
1 source records. Standards, editions and conditions are presented separately; matching grade names do not establish interchangeability.
Refer to each source for mass fractions and analysis type. Missing values are not treated as 0. Manufacturer typical values, standard guarantees and measured heat results must remain separate. Use the material selector for calculations and condition selection.

Applicability and limitations
JIS G 3509-2:2003: main-text Table 1 lists SCM822WCH steel wire, and clause 9 references JIS G 3509-1. Composition is entered from heat analysis in main-text Table 2 of Part One of the same edition; values are not borrowed across editions. Main-text Table 2 gives heat analysis, mass fraction %. The default Si is 0.15–0.35%; a lower bound below 0.15% requires agreement between purchaser and supplier and is not the default. Note 1 to main-text Table 2: impurities for all grades, Cu≤0.30%. Note 2: Al for grain refinement is added only by agreement. Product-analysis deviations apply only by agreement under Table 4 of JIS G 0321. The actual designations in this edition are shown separately from later editions such as 2005/2010/2021; the historical edition does not establish a current standard or actual supply.
