HAL59-3-2

2 source records. Standards, editions and conditions are presented separately; matching grade names do not establish interchangeability.

Refer to each source for mass fractions and analysis type. Missing values are not treated as 0. Manufacturer typical values, standard guarantees and measured heat results must remain separate. Use the material selector for calculations and condition selection.

Composition record (conditional branches apply; this is not an unconditional requirement)

ElementComposition requirement
Cu57.0 ~ 60.0
Fe≤ 0.5 (lower limit not stated)
Pb≤ 0.1 (lower limit not stated)
Al2.5 ~ 3.5
Ni2.0 ~ 3.0

Applicability and limitations

Mass fraction wt%; Under 2.2, elements with specified lower and upper limits are alloying constituents; a single value is a minimum for copper and a maximum for other elements. A dash means unspecified; it is not entered as zero; Cu+Ag and Ni+Co are subject to combined ranges and are not converted into independent element ranges. The balance remains a balance; subtracting independent maxima does not establish a guaranteed range. Total impurities include all relevant impurities; The sum of listed elements is only a necessary condition and cannot replace complete impurity analysis. Product forms in the original document define the applicable wrought-product scope; they do not establish confirmed supply of cold-heading wire or final properties. Zn is the balance; Total impurities exclude elements specified as alloying constituents; all listed elements must not simply be added together. Total impurities ≤.9%. Table 2, note 1: Fe≤0.030% applies to nonmagnetic brass only where nonmagnetic performance is expressly required; Ordinary conditions are not automatically tightened.

      Verification notes

The official GB/T 5231—2001 tables 1–4 and applicable footnotes were checked row by row against the source. The condition conflict for seven grades whose Fe content is incompatible with non-magnetic requirements is retained; it is not applied automatically.

Mass fraction wt%; GB/T 5231-2012, Table 3, row 75, designation T69250; scanned PDF, PDF physical page 9. Zn is balance; dashes mean unspecified and are not replaced with zero. Clause 2.2: single impurity values in the table are maxima. The total of table-listed impurities is ≤0.9% and must be checked against measured values for the impurity elements specified in the standard. This standard provides the grade-composition basis for wrought copper and copper alloys; actual supply and cold-heading suitability require separate confirmation.
