C88DB material reference
1 source records. Standards, editions and conditions are presented separately; matching grade names do not establish interchangeability.
Refer to each source for mass fractions and analysis type. Missing values are not treated as 0. Manufacturer typical values, standard guarantees and measured heat results must remain separate. Use the material selector for calculations and condition selection.

Applicability and limitations
Cast analysis; composition is expressed as mass fraction, %. An unspecified lower limit is not zero. Class A: Mn 0.30%–0.60%; class B: Mn 0.60%–0.90%. These classes apply only to C26D–C92D and are agreed at ordering. 4.2.4: Unlisted elements shall not be intentionally added without purchaser consent. Cr and V may be added by agreement at ordering: Cr≤0.30%, V≤0.10%. 4.2.5: For C26D–C92D, agreement may raise the C upper limit by 0.01% or lower the lower limit by 0.01%. This does not expand the default table limits. 4.2.6: The Si lower limit for galvanizing, or the Si upper limit for C4D–C20D, may be separately agreed at ordering. 4.2.8–4.2.10: By agreement, Cu≤0.20%; for C48D–C92D, Cu+Sn≤0.25% may be specified; Al of 0.01%–0.06% with Si≤0.10% may be agreed. 4.3: Mechanical properties of composition-designated grades are agreed between supplier and purchaser. Table 2 gives recommended within-batch tensile-strength variation, not guaranteed tensile-strength limits. Delivery condition, dimensions, surface, packaging and acceptance shall follow GB/T 24242.1—2020 and the order.

Mechanical properties and delivery condition
Mechanical properties for this grade are agreed between supplier and purchaser and stated in the contract. Recommended variation in Table 2 is not a tensile-strength guarantee.
